Stroganoff Sausages & Sweet Potato Mash

Course: Beef

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams sausages flavour of your choice
  • 500 grams mushrooms sliced or quartered
  • 1 Small brown onion finely diced optional
  • 1/2 jar of Beerenberg Mushroom Stroganoff Sauce
  • 120ml Beef stock or cream if you prefer cream

Method
 

Method to cook the Sausages
  1. Cook the sausages until almost cooked and remove them from the pan and slice them to a thickness you like.
  2. Add the mushrooms and onions to the pan and fry gently.
  3. Add the sliced sausages back into the pan.
  4. Add 1/2 jar of Beerenberg Mushroom Stroganoff Sauce along with the beef stock and combine gently.
  5. Let simmer until the sausages are cooked through.
  6. This gives you time to make the sweet potato mash.
Sweet Potato Mash Recipe & Instructions
  1. 1 large sweet potato peeled and diced.
  2. Steam in a microwave dish with the lid on for approximately 10 minutes.
  3. Mash with 2 teaspoons horseradish cream and a teaspoon of garlic.
  4. It’s time to add 2 large dessert spoons of butter and blend it well. It should be nice and creamy.
  5. Serve the sausages with the sweet potato mash for an easy meal. If you need more veg, serve with your favourite greens.

Easy to cook meal for time poor people or if you want a nice easy meal 🙂
